CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Luminance: 10s x 6
H-alpha (red): 60s x 5
O III (green): 60s x 5
S II (blue): 60s x 3
Which one you prefer?

Hi,
Of course the second one is better... more details.
Hmm... from my screen, there is some yellow colour component near the trapezium... is it cause by the fact that the number of blue frames is less than the red frames and green frames?? IMHO, you should take the same number of red, green and blue frame to form the true colour image.
Have a nice day.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have recombined the images using 3x60s for H-alpha, O III and S II. The result is shown below. The color is still there. Probably it's due to the fact that the H-alpha, O III and S II wavelengths do not correspond exactly to RGB, which I chose arbitrarily. So in reality, it's a 'false-color' image.
Cheers!

Another false color image of OIII and S II only. To me, it resembles a satellite dish!
Cheers!

Used clipping masks technique and Photoshop to recombine the images. I adjusted out the 'unnatural' yellow colors.
