That is cute!! Can't help smiling when I first laid my eyes on it. And notice the curved secondary holders!

Hi,
Hmm... A repacement for the Vixen Viper?? The answer to those GOTO fork mount scope from Vixen??

Hmm... seem that it accept vixen dovetail, so it can basically mount any scope that use a vixen dovetail. So it'll be more versatile than those fork mount scope... Just wonder what is the loading capacity?? It'll be very nice, neat and look cool if it can carry a C8 on it... :)

Have a nice day.

Finally! After waiting for more than 6 months since it was shown in Europe, hopefully it will be out soon!

It is supposed to be the successor of the Sphinx. Let's see...

Hmm... but it is not an EQ mount where Sphinx is... may be they'll use back the SkySensor 2000 for GOTO EQ mount and SkyPod for GOTO Alt-Az mount... Let's see what vixen is up to... :)

Have a nice day.

Hi
the SkyPod from Vixen is here in Germany also "hot discute". The design of the optics sims to be from MEADE, I think there could be a ETX -Scope behind. The idea this SkyPod to bring is nice, but to use it right from a table, will bring some problems. Why you think to set a SRL backside there will be not easy to get some objects straight to the zenit because there is no place to work with the cam. So everything is well done here, but not the design to use it fom a desk.
But the SkyPod can be used by a pier, so there is no problem to assemble also other scopes (they can be carryed by this mount) and have fun on stars.
