such technologies could a a hundred years away or never...
I remember in the 80s I read about how the world in 2010 will travel at speed 0.1c using giant space ships powered by detonating atomic bombs behind it...
we are only 4 years away from interstellar travel!

Usually the idea is good, but the engineering required would be very difficult! The idea of using antimatter as fuel have been around a long time, however, the lightweight and efficiency would probably be outweighed by the tonnes of equipment surrounding it to make it work!
