Hi,
Just to share with you guys/gals my current setup and how I pack it.
The first photo is the "StandBy Mode"... kept at one corner and wait for clear sky. The Vixen 80mm refractor is inside the small bag.
The second photo show what's inside the bag. It contain basically all my stuff, such as eyepieces, adapters, diagonals, filters, star chart, backup batteries & etc. The two blank places are reserve for my Canon 300D DSLR and two small lens.
Have a nice day.

Hi,
The first photo here is my portable ("go up mountain go down sea") setup. The MicroStar mount is attach to the bag with my portable chair on top of the bag and I can put a C5 or the Vixen A80SS refractor inside the bag.
The second photo is my dual scope "All Out Attack" mode or Full Observation/Astrophotography Order ... still in planning stage, but look ok leh...  will bring the setup to go "walk walk" when weather is better to test out whether it is "do-able" or not "do-able"...
Need to remember to ask someone who live near me to come along... just in case... ha ha ha
Have a nice day.

But I do like the way you purchased a camera bag with all the right compartments..cool!

haha..i was too fast. Just saw you post your second picture. This one closer to your "default" load...I would say 80%...
Its amazing how you can carry this set up up and down the stairs every time. I think the army training helps.

Hi,
The advantage about the setup is all my load are on the trolley and I can go to my observation site without carry anything...

The disadvantage is that once my trolley broke down when I'm outside, I think I'll reach home the next day... ha ha ha *touch wood*

By the way, the portabel setup weight around 15Kg... not too bad, but I think I'll need to do some weight... no, bag training everyday... hee hee

Have a nice day.

Of all the souls I have met in Singastro, I think only Junwei is crazy enough to carry the kind of loads you carry (OR "used to carry"). I wonder how is his injury. Have not heard from him or his Bedok obs sessions in a while.weixing wrote:Hi,
