Solar Observation from home

Post by mrngbss »

Hi all,

Today was a sunny day till 3pm. The sun was shining right through my windows and decided look at the Sun. There was something different about the sun spot today as Spaceweather.com that described sunspot 927 as a ring shaped sunspot. Curious, I took out my home-made solar filter (with Baader solar film) and had a go at the Sun.

Sun Spot 927 was amazing, and looked like a ring, as described. I was more amazed by the amazing view through this Baader Brand filter. It has been described by many that this is one of the best filter, now I truly believed it.

Our nearest star somehow attracts me more than the distant ones, hehe :). If you can, do try to have a look sometimes.

Cheers!
