Probable Mersing Observation Trip on 17th March 2007

Post by weixing »

Hi,
There are plans to have an overnight observation trip to Mersing on 17th March 2007. Departure on 17th March 2007 afternoon and return on 18th March 2007 morning.

Please post to indicate your interests and whether do you have transportation or not. If respond is good and got 8 to 10 persons without means of transportation, we'll rent one mini-van for the trip. Cost of the mini-van will confirm at a later date, but usually it is around S$400 and will share equally by the passenagers.

By the way, those without means of transportation, please also indicate what equipment you'll be bringing along... need that to estimate how many people can we take on the mini-van and customs clearance.

Have a nice day.

PS: No guarantee of Good Weather and Clear Sky... :P :P

Yes I will be keen to go; I have no transport. If there's space, I would like to bring the 11" f/5 Astro Sky dob to share with everyone! :)

any "passenger" knows the direction? I feel like going, but too long since I last went there..can't remember the way already. I can drive, but need a passenger to lead the way....

Fantastic! I don't need transport, I can drive. I do, however, need an in-car guide to help me navigate to the place (so that's at least one passenger whom I can take). I have no eqpt, so I can ferry one telescope in the back seats. However, it would be better to meet up a few days in advance to make sure the eqpt will fit.

Clear skies, Deepak

Hey VinSnr,

I can be that "passenger". Should be free then. Been there many times! Prefer to go during weekend of new moon (17th March).

If there are enough cars going with those without transport, maybe we don't need to book a minivan. I can also navigate! :)
