You can ask robin from McGill. He has that scope and took some terrestrial pics with it.

Hi

some german users made some not very satisfacting expiriences with this small telescope. They wrote that the worth of this scope is not Vixen usual high and the performance would not be as awaited.

Yes, I have heard of 1 bad report on it for terrestrial photography, but I was not sure if he got a bad sample.

If it were just due to poor flocking, then it would be pretty easy to solve.

Personelly I didn´t watch trough such Vixen Mak, and I have no own opinion about its quality.
But if you search really good small Maks, there is a very good telescope I could recomand.
It is a russian LOMO Astele 70 with a high performance and very good quality.

you may not know this but Kay Heem actually owned this scope previously!
He sold it to a forummer here. I was so attracted by its small and sexy size but alas, reality caught up with me when I remember its small 70mm aperture and larger secondary obstruction would make it less than ideal in singapore skies.
But as a birding scope..its a really beauty!

ha..ha..ha..Rich, you remembered!
The first sample I received had bad focus shift only at a certain distance. I had to send it back to be fixed. It returned much better, but the aperture was too small. It was the only scope I brought to Kenya a few years ago.
