Never been there, from the pic the top is not flat and open like a heli pad, the building will block some part of the sky right? Unless you use a bino.

I had done observing there before. The tower is not ideal, instead the patch of field infront of the tower is better. Best view is towards the west , panoramic as you will be facing the reservoir.

Just went there at 10:30pm had a quick check of the place. the top of the tower has no light at night. there are some street lights around the area, but still not too bad, tonight is 13th on chinese lunar calendar, so the moon is too bright to be able to see others but i think it is an idea spot, as the car park is only about 30M away from the tower. And yes the field in front of the tower next to water level may be better as it is darker there and we still have an panoramic view. worth trying

The field in front of the tower, if i'm not mistaken is quite near the water edge, and in the dark i don't think can see where the field and water line is right?

aiyoh this place got many couples like to go there one.....don't go and disturb them la. The tower is quite siong to bring equipments up unless yours is a grab and go type, but up there you are disturbing couples again.

The field in front of the tower is not a field...it's a place with benches for couples to seat. You will be disturbing them if a group of you go there.

Vin you are right about the couples thing, many of them stay inside the carpark though, doing you know what. I saw family of 4 there too wondering up the tower. and you are right about the tower. It is not the place for those who carry heavy gears. it is 3 storeys height of tower to climb.
