Hi Arief,
I am pretty new to this and actually got registered to this forum a short while back. A few months ago, I got my first scope, a Celestron 4 SE (already thinking of changing to a larger aperture one!). I am interested in your mount. Can it fit into my 4SE tripod?
Sorry if I ask stupid quesetions - being a newbie.
Christopher

Hi Christopher,
Thanks for your interest. To be frank with you, the mount is not suitable for beginning astronomer and really overkilled for your current scope. I would recommend a Vixen GP class of mount for your 4SE (up to 8" SCT).
The Vixen GP head weighs only 4kg so it is more portable and easier to transport. My mount weighs 24kg and is suitable for larger scopes (9-12" SCT or up to 6" refractor). On the other hand, if you have a place to put the mount permanently, my mount is suitable as it allows you to upgrade to bigger scopes in the future.
We can discuss more about this through a PM or this thread.
cheers,
Arief
PS: Btw, your Nexstar 4SE should already come with a single-fork goto mount and tripod, no?
