See where the Earth is located in the Milky Way and more. Beautiful and informative:

"The Earth Guide from the Japan Science and Technology Agency is a beautiful infographic that answers science and geography questions such as “Where does the sky become space?” and “How is the Earth different from other planets?” You’ll learn a lot more on the way to the answers!"

Hi,
Just browse through the "Where is the Earth located in the Milky Way galaxy?" section in the english version of the Earth Guide, I found the following errors:
1) On the page where it display the size of our Milk Way galaxy. It indicate that the "speed of light (300-thousand meters per second)" which is not correct. The speed of light should be 300-thousand kilometers per seconds or 300-million meters per second.

2) On the page where it display the location of our Solar System, it indicate on the text that our Solar System is 28 thousand light years from the center of the Milky Way galaxy which is correct. But on the image where it display a graphic representation of our Solar System location, it's display that the distance as 2.8 thousand light years which is not correct.

I think they just convert directly from the Japanese version and miss out some of the unit conversion error. I just send them an email to inform them of the error and hope they change it soon.

Anyway, it's a very nice website.

Have a nice day.
