i think any of the seniors here will be more than willing to teach but you've got to join them for their observation session. That's what I did. Nothing beats real time explaination with the real sky.

I'm not sure there's any good ob sites in AMK.

Why not you join us for the next of ob, tentatively 2 weeks from now at Turf City. mySG_jy stay in AMK too, check with him to see if he will be in town then and that he can give you a lift.

Since 2 weeks time is not a new moon day, the gurus will still be around in S'pore and we will invite them. So, you can have them teaching you.

Wow, we now have newbies owning a laser pointer before they know the night sky

Hello wai kit, Toa Payoh Ob group has been temporarily moved over to Turf City. You can join us over there. I'm not sure if there are free shuttle buses from AMK to Turf City, but Toa Payoh does, so you can take MRT down and then transfer to the shuttle to come. While waiting for us you can do some shopping too, haha..

Meanwhile, I'm still thinking of ob at Toa Payoh Gardens. I know it's a light polluted area, but it's more accessible for newbies without cars. So if you think Turf City is too far, you'll just have to wait until Toa Payoh Ob group settles down with Turf City, then i'll come back to the Gardens to continue the outreach.

You're 19 years old. Probably studying..? Which school? There are many schools with astro clubs. You could join astro clubs for activities and learn from there too.

Hi, I stay in AMK, Ave 10 area. I can meet you up for discussions, but I can't show you the skies as all my stuff are in my office at NUS.
