Hi,
I was observing from 20:30 to 23:00 in Tampines and it's was very clear with some patch of cloud passing by.
I try to look for the comet with my Vixen 80mm F5 scope, but no luck... I think need to use a very detail star chart to pin point the location to increase the chance of seeing it as suggest by rlow and my 80mm scope is just too small.
Anyway, I saw the brightest part of the milky way, the Sagittarius Star Cloud (M24) area, through my 7x35 bino and 80mm scope. The milky way was very obvious in the bino as it appear as a faint white stretch against the light blue background and it span around 15 degree. Also, saw 3 bright meteor... 2 bright one (one through my 80mm scope) and a faint one.
Other objects seen (quick scan) using my 80mm scope was M57 Ring Nebula, M6, M7, M8, M22 and Omega Centauri . All the objects except M57 can also been seen using my 7x35 bino. Also, M8 nebulousity was very obvious tonight even through the 7x35 bino without any LPR/UHC filter.
Just hope that Friday/Saturday night can be as clear as tonight.
Have a nice day.
