I've the similar urge as Richard to upgrade to bigger aperture.I use for pure observation and not in astrophotography. Any one having one,please send me the type,condition and best offer.

Hi David,
As we spoke, if you don't need Goto, its a much much simpler world....
lots of 8" SCTs out there especially on Astromart...
Only problem is that apart from the $800-$1000 or so for a second hand OTA, you will need to invest in a sturdy (and of course expensive) mount.

anyway, good luck to us in our quest for bigger aperture..
