Public lecture

Post by Mayyen »

The Berkeley Club of Singapore will be hosting a public lecture event, featuring the University of California, Berkeley's esteemed Nobel Laureate, Dr George Smoot III in our coming year-end event.

Dr George Smoot, 2006 Nobel Prize winner in Physics, is an active researcher in astrophysics and cosmology. In this public lecture, "The Road to Nobel", Dr Smoot will talk about his personal journey to receiving a Nobel Prize and elaborate on the significance of his research into understanding the origins of our universe. The lecture will prove to be inspiring for all learners of science and fascinating even for cosmology dabblers.

We are had extended our invitation for this free public lecture to students but are wondering if you might have members who will be interested in attending as well. For the public, seating is on first come first serve basis, so please advise your members to be there early.

The event details are as follows:

Date: 16th November (Friday)
Time: 6 – 7pm (Lecture / Q&A)
Registration begins at 5.30pm
