My Yellow William Optics 102 ED pics!

Post by acc »

Wah MooEy beat me to posting pics of this new scope from WO but here's mine. Collected this scope only this morning, so no first star-light yet. Everything looks excellent so far; will write more after more use. I love the yellow finishing on the scope, which is nice to look at in person than in the pics. Coarse focuser has a few subtle rough spots but fine focuser is excellent. My package comes with the UWAN 28mm eyepiece, which is impressive to look at and look through :) Its great-value for the money.

Damping time on the Portamount with the T6 5mm Nagler is about 2 seconds, which is acceptable for me. So luckily don't have to go get a new mount. Once the scope check out well, it will be time to consider selling off my red WO 80FD as well as Meade 5k 24mm UWA. ... :)

Yellow (aperture) Fever... deadly affliction!
Prognosis is poor... will succumb to fast rising temperature and heavily-drained resources.

eeee MooEy I don't like a pink tube... :)

I am not a star-test expert but a quick look at Sirius reveal nice smooth concentric rings inside and outside of focus with no astigmatism and no obvious colour at focus. :) Very happy with the scope and UWAN 28 so far.
