Notice the relatively modest equipments Damian is using (C14 SCT on old Ci-700 mount and Lumenera cam) to take these eyepopping images.

I'm really wondering with the much better equipments at SSC Observatory (Pentax 16" Cass on the giant Yoke mount) and our ideal location, can SSC imagers come up with something like this?

Yes, I've been waiting for his DVD to be on sale again. I missed out on the first batch and it's now sold out.

the magic word is "skills". It does not mean splendid equipment guarantees splendid results. It will come close, but will not be "there" without the skills of the person. It also helps to have near perfect collimation of the instrument and excellent seeing conditions.

Came across his website a few days ago. The following day I was at Kino Taka browsing magazines when I saw his Barbados article in the May 2010 issue of Astronomy Now. Amazing dude is all I can say.
