Pls help....ugly red sky in photo

Hiya pple.....I took this photo of the sky...but it's super washed out by skyglow. Can anybody pls give tips on how to solve this??

Hi, the super quick way is to go to Photoshop, Images, Adjustments, Levels and select the "set gray point" dropper and click the dropper on the red sky glow and most of the glow will be gone.

Here's my attempt to clean up the sky glow but some stars are lost in the process

Hey bro, you black clipped the data thats why some stars are lost.

my effort if you don't mind....

i use Nikon View, i sharpen 3X to amplify the bright spots, this amplifying algorithm is the most fool proof to me.
Remove the red channel , and do your own variable brightness.
there will will get the effects you want.

wucheeyiun yrs seem to be sharpening the noise....
Anybody knows if there is any LPR filter that can screw onto 67mm thread?

ouch.. the price of a 67mm LPS filter sure dosnt look very comforting..

Hi,
IDAS LPS is very good and very expensive, but I think I'll still get one in the future :)

Anyway, my attempt to remove the sky glow... not that good... still got a lot to learn on image processing
