Stargazing at East Coast Park 18th May (Sunday)???

Post by rcj »

Hi all,

Our resident Malaysian astronomer-cum-friend, Mr Tommy Lim, and his wife is coming down to Singapore over this extended weekend. Tommy is a significant committee member in Malaysia's STARFINDER astronomical society and has devoted years of his life to the pursuit of astronomy and the spread of enthusiasm amongst the public community in the Kuala Lumpur region, and has helped in the organization of various nation-wide astro events for the past decade.

Now, since it is also a long weekend, is anyone keen in having a stargazing session over at the usual place at East Coast Park this coming Sunday (since Monday is Vesak Day)? I know it's near the full moon period, but it is also not everyday that we have astronomy guests coming down. It would be interesting for the singastro community to interact with them and likewise.

Anyone's keen?
