What for? Just get a Mallimcam Hyper Colour for 25% of the cost and you not only triple your scope size, but you can also view with two eyes on a LCD screen and see nice colours.

Or what about this: a "telescope" with ultra-high speed processor, ultra-high speed graphics processor, ultra-high definition real life colour image projector, star catalogue up to magnitude 15 and 40,000 objects database. You point it anywhere on the sky and the "telescope" will project an ultra-high definition colour image of that portion of the sky to your eyepiece.... work with any eyepiece. The best part is you can use this indoor at the comfort of your home... ha ha ha

That GenIII night vision may have problem being exported to Singapore..so it probably is only meant for USA customers.

I would think the real advantage of that compared to long exposure time CCD video cameras is that it is practically real time..and hassle free in setup, does not require a monitor and tracking.

haha i have a GEN II Night vision monoscope. seems to work pretty well. you could see really faint stuff like a fuzzy patch of M51 in a reasonably clear night.. only thing is.. its green.. and white.. and it screws ur night adaptation once u look into it.

somehow I can't accept that green view.

Aiyah, go get the Mallincam Hyper colour. Once you see what it can do on the LCD monitor, you will be hooked.

Don't forget its competitor -- Stellarcam III too. By the way, I heard from some CCD experts that actually we can utilise sensitive ccd camera to do the same job too.
