Trifid Nebula from Punggai

Post by rcj »

Hi all,

Been a while since I last posted. Here is a quick-and-dirty processed coloured image (finally) of Trifid Nebula in Sagittarius from the Punggai trip (just came back this morning) taken using the 5-inch refractor and the trusty G11. There is slight haze present during the capture of each colour component data. Total exposure, 1 hour.

thanks for the comments. think the good skies did justice. infact, it was my most productive trip from the punggai location. had almost two nights of good imaging.

Hi Remus,

Good job man. The image can be further adjust the color saturation. The nebulosity is good.
I wonder....how a serious process of this image to be look like?
