East Coast Stargazing this Saturday?

Post by rcj »

Hi all,

Anyone keen in having a stargazing session at the East Coast Park site location (usual place, between Carpark C4 and D1) this Saturday (20th sept)? The weather looks set to improve (hopefully!)....

Think it is just about the last session that I can initiate before leaving...

Hi Uncle Max :-)

Not to worry. Normally we will "instantiate" an observing session like this in the beginning of week. Since it is dependent on the weather conditions then, we will normally put a final confirmation status message in this thread to decide if the session goes on or not, probably on Friday or Saturday morning. Sometimes it also depends on the response of the group here. If you do not have net access then, you can also contact me on the status (8-2-3-3-3-seven-nine-8). If you have difficulty getting to the site, please let us know too. Basically, the observing site is a grass patch just next to the beach shoreline, and located between carpark D1 and C4. This location is directly opposite the Victoria Junior College where you can cross a bridge that goes over the expressway. These sessions usually start after dinnertime, around 8-9pm.

Count me in! Been waiting for an ob session for a while now. This will also be my last outing until after my Os! (:

Hope this session will be able to go on with good, clear skies.
