Chinese APO Round 2: 110ED

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Chinese APO Round 2: 110ED

Post by Meng Lee »

Since the last 102ED war, now it is the Chinese 110ED and its 1k USD.

Orion version:

Stellarvue has 2 versions:

and I think the astrophotography version has the Minus Violet filter coated on its objective to reduce the blue bloat!

I hope they continue this war until they reach 6" in aperture.

Is the Stellavue one also made in China?

I think they all look too much alike. Anyway, this is the original China website showing the refractors:

The Chinese APO has 115 Triplet and 127 Triplet as regular goods. So seems like the Chinese 152 ED should not be long.

Great news! I really hope if there's such thing like Moore's Law in astro equipment industry. Haha~
Clear skies,
Robin.
