How to mount Zenithstar onto Ioprton Mini Tower?

Hi,

I just received my Ioptron minitower but I realized that the dovetail on my Zenithstar 80 would not fit into the clamp on the minitower. Anyone knows the best way to mount it?

Anyone able to sell me the relevant parts?

You will need a Vixen type dovetail (may not be necessarily a Vixen brand dovetail).

How do I mount the scope onto the Vixen type dovetail? Do I need the mounting rings?

There should be some holes/slots for you to fasten the dovetail to the bottom on the Zenithstar.

This is what I used to do/have.

What i used is a Vixen brand Universal dovetail plate, used on a Tak saddle plate (which has the same Vixen style dovetail/saddle type).

The Vixen brand has a slot which I put two screws through to screw it onto the tripod plate that is found on my WO scope.

I borrowed an Orion dovetail plate, unfortunately the holes are not the correct distance apart.

Oh, just take the orion dovetail to the bench drill with a 6mm drill bit and drill the right spacing.
