Whilst doing some observing this evening (Tues), I happened to look up briefly and saw a bright meteor. It was at 8.30pm.
The meteor was very bright, about that of Sirius, but cream-yellowish, and was about 15-20 degrees long and low in the NNW. It streaked downwards to the horizon. Probably a sporadic.
Wonder if anyone else saw it?
For a person with a poor track record with meteors, this was quite an unexpected but lucky sight!
