2/8/2009 - MAGNETIC DETACHED FILAMENT

Post by THEO-007 »

I`m get sick of to say everyday about seeing here in athens. The situation is the same. Heavy mist and see it at the today solar images.

The region crossing the solar surface but today she has a magnetic detached filament over her.

The region show to going down of magnetic fields.

There is to much filaments around her but in distance.

No series prominences today at this time.

Hi Theo
Welcome to Singastro and thanks for sharing your images too.
The Sun is just past its quietest period and is moving towards more sun spots and solar flares. This is good time for satellites in orbit as solar flares can sometimes damage them.
Cheers
