sunspot 1036?New odj come into view today morning-9:20am
Hi,All solar observer,
This morning at 9:20am,I saw a new active region that had just come into view from the other side of the sun.It show up very bright in Cak-without spots.
In Ha this bright region showed a few bright patches with filaments in between--a potential for white light sunspots to occur any time.Photo taken.Just(9:40am) as I try to set up my white light equipments;the sky close its window on me.
At the time when this is being typed, spaceweather hadnt indicates its existences.Do take a look if you can.Thanks.

Hi,All
Today ( observing between 8am to 11am) a new region evolve--namely now you can see 3 regions in the sun that are active--one called sunspot 1035,next the one I spotted yesterday had developed 2 tiny sunspots in white light and Cak with good filaments in Ha;and a new bright region in the south of the sun.Photo taken.
The region with the 2 tiny spots has 2 tiny sunspots that can be easily missed unless you are using a good scope with well adjusted microfocuser.Slightly out of focus will miss it.Till now no sunspot number assigned but should be sunspot 1036.
Will the new region in the south give rise to sunspot 1037?Lets see.Interesting.

Hi,All solar observer,
Things are getting exciting every hour--a new sunspot---well call it 1038 or the ghost of 1035 appeared today--sightly visible this morning and grew in size by 4pm to 2 tiny spots. It appears in the same belt--northern belt of
activity as 1035( that had gone to the other side of the sun this evening).
On the other hand, sunspot 1037 burst into activity at 5:30pm just now and shine very brightly just now with the bright lane changing shape by the minutes.Suspected a class C solar flare had occured.
Spaceweather had not indicated any sunspot 1038 or solar flare yet--lets see tomorrow.THE SUN IS GETTING MORE EXCITING EVERY DAY.

Hi,all solar observer
Yes,they did name it sunspot 1038;and its expanding slowly, showing 4 small spots now. However the sunspot in the south--1036 is full of activities. After the observed flare--matching one in spaceweather as class B2--yesterday evening, today its still packed with filaments--big and small;appearing and disappearing within a time interval of 20 min.No spots in active region 1037--however still active with light Ha filaments and show up as a very bright region in Cak.
Interesting.Tke a look--Thanks

Hi,
A summary of activities: On 23 Dec 09 its reported by spaceweather that a solar Tsunami occured at spore 8pm(its night in spore).Thereafter on 24 Dec it rained heavily. On 25Dec; the sun is spotless in all light;but in Cak showed 3 bright regions. Then on 26 Dec sunspot 1039 appeared.
Currently sunspot 1039 is still there while Cak showed 2 active regions--sunspot 1039 is spoted with 2 black spot while the other region (not assigned any sunspot number)is covered with just bright cak filaments.
Note that from 19Dec till now the Sun is never blank in Cak.Take a look.Thanks.

Hi,
Well, till now not a single day on the sun without activities. Two days ago the ghost of sunspot 1035--now renamed as 1040;-come into view in cak--then activities again. There are good filaments display in the region and even PST can give good capture.Do take a look.
By the way it seems that these activities are not only causing havoc in earth weather pattern--widespread cold weather in the north--but its also affecting our neighbour--Mars.Yesterday night I photo Mars but no surface feature visible except the polar caps.Perhaps Mars is in a severe duststorm now.Do take a look.Thanks.
