CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi,
My first test shot of M1 Crab Nebula on this morning 2am with fellow member, Aaron.
The sky condition wasn't good with high clouds, very windy(causing star trail), the M1 was in the light pollution area in the west sky and I only manage to took 22 sub frames, so the result wasn't good, but at least I now know what to expect and hopefully can get a better shot on next attempt.
Crab Nebula (M1)
Below are the settings:
Camera: Canon 450D Original
Telescope: Vixen R200SS (FL=800mm F4.0) with MPCC on Vixen GPD EQ mount
Images: 22 images x 1 minute exposure @ ISO800 (unguided)
Have a nice day.
