21/02/2010 - BIG SOLAR MAGNETIC ACTIVITY

Post by THEO-007 »

Very poor seeing today in ATHENS with strong wind but we have sun.

Tried my DMK 21 on PST with barlow today. The results is good.

The sun has big solar activity right now.

Too much active region and chromospheric faculaes on surface.

AR 1048 has two large craters of magnetic activity. Great view.

Capture some pictures under poor seeing today and i present them to you.

Yes,those regions are huge.Although(yesterday) there is one sunspot 1049; but in Cak there are 3 bright regions the size of almost 100 earth each.Fantastic stuff on the sun--every day there is a good movie on the sun!
