Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Meade DSI-Finally on Win7 (64bit)

Post by timatworksg »

Just some heads up for those who run Windows 7 (64bit) systems and have a Meade DSI. Finally Meade have come thru and released Envisage 7.08x which installs on Windows 7 (64bit)!! Finally!

Though Envisage is a finicky capture software to use...this latest release allows the Meade DSI to finally have a 64bit Win 7 driver. No more VM player to run XP just for the DSI!! This will enable those with newer laptops installed with Win7 64bit OS to run Nebulosity/PHD/other capture software and have the ability to use the DSI all on one OS. I'm one of those and the new update works fine with Nebulosity/PHD. DSI has no issues!

Do note that this Envisage release is for Win7 64bit and not 64bit XP or Vista!

More info here

I can finally transfer everything over to my main OS...woot!
So for those who have a DSI and own a Win7 64bit system...the solution has finally landed!!
My wife never complained about how much time, effort & money I spent on my Astronomy hobby!................suddenly I met her!!!
