Well, I *was* going to bring a 10" truss dob, but now I had to give up the trip due to a &^%#@! company retreat. :x

I waited 2 years for a Mersing trip for my little girl to grow up a bit bigger, and now this happens :-(

Sorry for the side-track. I have got the mirror box and upper cage fabricated already. Once I get more done, I will try to put up some pics. Don't hold your breath though. This project has been dragging on for a long time already.

P.S. For those of you who don't already know, the guts of my scope was cannibalized from Chuang Yee's old Discovery dob. Is the 16 incher dob making an appearance in Mersing?

Kayheem! It's a pity you cannot join us again! :(
Anyway, there are about 20 telescopes going for this trip together with 3 filled vans of astro dudes! Hope the weather is fine then!

Hi Kayheem,
I also unable to have my first Mersing trip due to work commitment.. :( Anyway, may be we can have a few observation session together during this period... I just switch from 5" MCT to a 6" Newtonian... and need to learn from the Newtonian "old bird" on how to fine tune my Newtonian... :)

Have a nice day.
