Yukon 30x50 binocular ?

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Yukon 30x50 binocular ?

Post by Gary »

Saw this 30x50 bino at ebay :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

Are they suitable for astronomy ? Hand-holdable ? Any reviews ? Any links to good writeups on Newtonian Reflector Binocular ?

Thanks in advance.

Forget about this bino if you ask me. What a crap. Newtonian reflector bino? What is that? The only so called reflector bino I know is the JMI 6" reverse binoculars.

with an exit pupil of 1.67mm, this bino is hardly suitable for astro even if it has the world best optics.

apparently the marketing dept had not idea what they were selling...
it would be a collimation nightmare if it was possible to put 2 tiny newtonians into a bino-sized package. think about the poor contrast and central obstruction!..
