Help on telescope

i'm new on telescope. i'm getting a Bluesky BT600. can experts please give me some advise on the scope?

I do a search on the web on that scope... can only find it in brazil website. By looking at the image and some numbers (such as 525x), I think this scope should be consider as what we call a "department store scope". Anyway, how much are you paying for it? I think you should avoid this type of scope if possible.

ooohhh..a "junk" scope! I checked...a Thai shop is also selling it.
If you are really desperate to get a 60mm in this price range, better to get the Meade Saturn 60 from Wee Kiong. Less troublesome, Meade brand and they do not cheat on the specs (x525!!) .
Rule of thumb for "regular" scopes are aperature in mm x 2.
Hence the 60mm scope should max out at x120. In fact, you would be lucky to get a good focus at x80.

How much does it cost with shipping? I am sure a number of us will be able to tell you what to get that is value-for-money for that same price.

BTW, what are your main objects of interest? Moon/Plantes? Deepsky stuff like nebulas, galaxies?

i don't know what others might think but my opinion with planets is u wanna get damn good photos u should be looking at at least a 5inch la.

My advice are:

1) Be patient. Go for a few observations and get to know the different types of scopes. Know the cost, pros and cons of each type.
2) Save the $90 for a better scope next time.
3) If you are into planets and moon, stick to those with long focal length.
4) The mount shown with the scope is no good for tracking planets at high power.

I know #1 and #2 are pretty hard to swallow by newbies who are really itching to lay their hands on a scope. But trust me, I and others have been through that stage. All the DSOs, planets etc will still be there in a few years. New stuff like comets appear on a regular basis too.

actually...i do have a celestron eq80 firstscope which i am wanting to sell for $750 SGD. can those experienced ones tell highflyer if it's suitable for him?
