yup...read it in the papers today and saw the report on Ch 8 news. Cloudy and no comets.
what do you expect? all TRUE astronomers in Singapore know that it is the law of heaven that skies in Singapore are always cloudy on Friday, Saturday and holiday eve nights! Anyway, at least they got to see the 3 planets in a row. I didn't catch the dialogue very well, but I think they failed to mention Jupiter?

If I remember Weixing's translation earlier, Mars is "huo xing", venus is "jin xing" and Venus is "tu xing" . I know Jupiter is "mu xing"...

I was also fascinated that the mediacorp's video camera was able to capture venus, mars and saturn without stacking. for my camera, it would take 5-10 seconds to register but this video managed to catch it all on live video...

Hi :

Weather Satellite images did not look good - so I decided not to go... well it rained in Woodlands!

After 5 solid nights of imaging .. time to take a break.. hope tomorrow is at least viewable... that probably will be ' curtain call' for this comet for me after the weekend ..unless there unforseen outburst in brightness in Q4.

T7 diving below horizon early AM ...Bradfield high enough but dim mag 6+..

Like you say, it is dark and cloudy and looks like a storm is coming in at the moment to kill off their plans for tonight. So sad..... haha. Was hoping to test my solar filter then cycle up to the sci centre to see how it is since it is just 1 km from my home.

To test your solar filters, you can always point your scope at the super bright halon lightings at the golf range next to the science centre...?
If you can see the halon's components, then you are ready for the sun?
Of course the type of light would be different but at least its a rough test.
and yeah...its raining now....sigh...
