Kahang Expedition (3D2N) in April 1-3 [REG CLOSED]

Post by rcj »

Hi all,

Am trying to get an organized astronomy expedition going in April to the new site at Kahang (which has mag 6 skies). This is about the best we can find at the moment to "replace" our usual Mersing site of yesteryears. The dates tentative would be April 1-3, and time of departure would be on Friday and back by Sunday. However, right now, in order to facilitate the scale of the expedition group, I would like to know how many are actually keen to go, even if we have not exactly finalize the costs of the expedition. Note that skies are really good there, but the accommodation is rudimentary and spartan (non-airconditioned), but if you do not mind this, I think u will definitely have a good time there, both in terms of visual and imaging pursuits, not forgetting a very nice place to take celestial objects setting (Sun, constellations, etc).

Hands up if you are keen! :-)))

Hi Remus,

I am interested too. Btw, can I reserve some space for my friends too? They are keen but I have not received any confirm numbers for their attendance.

Just a side note this place might not be as comfy as punggai as there won't be air-con in the floating chalets. but what you do get is the fresh air and clear skies that will satisfy lol

The place sounds interesting. Wish I could go though but nowadays a little busy on weekends. Will find an opportunity! [smilie=crying3.gif]
