Nice catch!

Any idea why the sudden brightening at that part? Did the meteor explode you think?

What do you think are the chances that a meteorite can be found in Singapore?

Nah, at the look of it, it arent heading directly towards the ground. so it would spend more time in the upper atmmosphere happily burning up.

Oooo... Nice!

Hmm... what are the chances of catching a fireball (or even miserable bright meteors) in Singapore anyway? Seems like never for me...

Hi :

They are out there! It all depends whether how long you lookup. Instead of cranking my neck - I have chosen to use a look-up video system. The Field of Vision (FOV) is ~ 14x12 degree - even with this little 'window' typical catch is around 3-4 meteors per 6 hrs ( when the meteor activity are low) are common for our cloudy, light polluted sky.

For a nice big fireball to appear within this little 'window' so far I have captured only a very few handful ( 1-2 ) per year weather permitting.

Keep looking...
