Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

I see a lot of property agents also using green lasers.

BTW, what does ST says?

License (Class 3B, Class 4 laser) is only required for laser pointer that has >5mW.

For Class 3A (visible laser <= 5mW), there is no need for a license to operate one.

Most don't understand these lasers are meant for astro use.
They buy for fun. I have young neigbours that liked to shoot their beam into my home! And a colleague of mine insisted on using them as a laser pointer even though it was so bright!

I just saw the most ridiculous thing at robertson quay earlier tonight.

A Remote Controlled flying Kite (the type they like to cover in LEDs) that had a remotely triggered array of 4 green lasers that the owner was just flashing around in public.

Hi,All laser user
Laser can be fun but can be DANGEROUS too.Laser light are COHERANT--that is single direction magnetic/electric field-- light and has the capabilities of inducing chemical changes in the molecules its light fall into---and that may mean cancer as the cell nucleus get undesirable chemical changes.I also notice that most people who are expose to laser light in one form or another develope BULGING EYES--reason unknown.A historical check will indicate that early workers of Laser got eventual and slowly turn blind due to innocence and looking directly into Laser light---irreversible blindness--hence almost all university require one to wear safety google for personal safety and long sleef shirt too.
A mini or micro watt laser may be safe if not directly look at but even that;shining that light at the eye is dangerous.Laser light is easily scattered by small dust particles and that give one the shinning feel of the light.A 7 WATT LASER LIGHT CAN CRACK GLASS and that clearly indicate the destructive power of these light.SO DONT PLAY WITH LASER LIGHT.USE IT CAREFULLY.THANKS.
