I am not surprised at all. I am pretty sure (and a lot of other people as well) that the govt have already made up its mind long ago. The debate and all that was just to 'go thru the motion' to make the opposition and the conservative groups happy.

haha
ok ariefm
anyway, i just want to comment on the part where government says it will create 10000 jobs for the people.
you know what i think?...****...simply because ask yourselves, issit jobs for locals or jobs for cheaper bangladeshis and chinese who are much more willing to take hardship at lower pay
i am very displeased with the way the government tries to handle the situation
even the thing about entrance fees and max cap on how much a person can spend...trust me...give the government a few years and all that will be scraped.

ALL international casinos which are successful have shown in a study that a proportion of the gamblers must be locals or they cannot sustain.

10,000 jobs is not difficult considering the size of the 2 projects.
You're talking about not only contruction workers but support staff like clerks, food sellers, logistics, surveyers, architects, carpenters, masons, painters, designers , florists, security guards, cleaners, etc.
Then there's the resort staff...easily a 1000 for both resorts. The billions of $ spent on building the resort will be disbursed into the contruction companies and support industries.. ..and the casino has not even started.
All those people going to the resort is going to need transport (buses, trains, taxis). Hence the interdependent economy starts running.
