Talking about light pollution, did you guys see the picture on the front page of LIFE! in today's ST?

If this is built on Sentosa, we can forget about viewing Leonids on Sentosa or the other southern islands.

We have light pollutions and after year 2009, the Singapore nite is no more safe as those hungry gamblers will rob whatever (note:they don't care whether you have cheapo or high-end scope) in the wee hours that all astronomers stay on, to fullfil their urge [special note: We already got one guy that stole millions of dollars in the company to fullfil his gambling urge!!!
Be on alert and enjoy the nitesky in more than 3 people with you unless you are an expert in martial arts!

Hello all,

I think astronomers can rest a little easier about the casino

. The Ministry of Trade and Industry says that they would be looking into preventing light pollution, especially in the use of good lighting fixtures during the development and construction process at relevant stages, according to a response from them.

Rest easy- the light pollution battle needs the concerted effort of all government agencies and people to succeed

i bet that's what the govenment says to anyone who has a concern with any thing they do
i mean i wouldn't expect :"go away la you... singapore so few astronomers...why should we care...we are PAP ok!since 1965!"
