Or maybe you can trade for a pair of Televue 8-24mm Zoom which allows you to binoview planets and deepsky on your c8 with just 1 pair of eyepiece.

David,
you should get one more 15mm panoptic instead...
sell the rest away...
BTW if we meet at tuas next time, you can try my pair of Antares 9mm orthorsopic, it sharp, bright and light. Got it from Sam.

Look like you plan for the binoviewer way in advance buying 2 EP at one go. OK try to activate you earlier in next ob at Tuas.
After the lelong, I have both TV Pan 15 & Pentax XL14.So one of them got to go.Obviously I will keep the pentax and sell the pan 15mm.

The route of ortho's for bino-viewing is reasonably cheap, got to buy Antares instead of UO ( they are both the same and made in japan, but antares is cheaper ).
And also wide field we can use cheap and good 25mm plossls, in fact we can push up to 28mm i think( i did not try) some burgess lookalike ( c-type 22mm ca) binoviewer comes with 26mm plossl too.

actually there is an alternative now in the Orion Stratus line of eyepieces. Way cheaper than the Pentax XL. Seems to have pretty good review.

I just ordered a Stratus 17mm to fit in between my Pentax 14 XL and Pentax 21 XL. Will let you guys know how it performs compared to the Pentaxs. However, my scope is a f/10..so i think performance is close. I will go find a fast scope of around f/5-f/6 and try.....that would be quite a good test.
