Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

My 10" Orion dob has altitude bearings of only 5" diameter. Yet, it has -extremely- smooth motion whether elevating up or down. It all depends on manufacturing tolerances. Balancing is taken care of by the side springs. No problems even if I put in a terminagler. Unfortunately the Meade seems to be lacking this feature. Hopefully it won't be too sensitive to ep weight.
