EM-10 or GM8?

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

my advise is do your own research first before buying anything, go to singapore to see the various scopes and mounts first hand.

last year we have a beginner (is it shoelevy? he no longer come here i think) with money no object attitude, he bought big items and found out it's too big for him to carry and rarely use it, his interest in astro waned drastically and he's forced by his parents to sell off his items at a huge loss because he never use them. for him, astro was a very disappointing and expensive experience.

now, we don't really mind beginners buying big expensive items since we can always hope they lost their interest very soon so we can buy their equipments at half the price :D

ps:
- cge and g11 doesn't support our latitude unless you do modification, not sure about g41
- my next mount will be a takahashi, i just love everything tak
- the last paragraph above, i don't really mean it :)

Hahaha, can you still recall his equipment? It's just too bad that he lost interest in Astronomy. :(
Clear skies,
Robin.
