Hi Arief,
I believe you do alot of buying and selling on astromart?
My guess is they have no objection to enthusiasts selling and buying stuff once in a while at their expense but when the activity is too high, it was probably a matter of time before they start classifying such users as "vendors" and imposing a charge. I checked my account just now and its still free...whew...(have not sold or bought anything on astromart yet..no rating for me yet ! :-) )

BTW, thanks to you, I just realised that I had a private mail in my inbox since 2005! They guy agreed to sell me something and I did not know!! Instead of bought the item brand new and a much higher price....sigh...

Well, from some ramblings on CN, there are a few other frequent sellers who experienced the same problem and quite a few lost their ratings and started new accounts.

I think that s**ks too!

I think we need to be fair to astromart also. They maintain the server and the charges is not cheap. If you are a frequent buyer/seller, then there is a high probability that you are using astromart to do business deals or for some commercial gain. Obviously if you are doing that, it is only fair that you pay some $$$ to keep astromart running.

Of course, there is a small majority who genuinely buy/sell for their hobby sake and will be affected by this. I guess there is not much choice for them because it is hard to filter out with 100% accuracy as to who are dealers and who are not.

I got my account locked for no reasons. I tried using "forgot password" link and everytime they sent that they have sent the password to my email, but I didnt get any.. I have also written to them at support@astromart.com but no response.

Does everyone has to pay now for astromart account even if you are using a private email account (not the free email types).

I was a three-month astromart supporter in the beginning; since then I helped my friend bought one TV NP101, one TV 76 and three TV85 and lots of other Televue stuffs from it. My feeling is that the Americans tend to give you 5-star rating more easily when they "buy" from you. I still got no chance to use V-post address because most astromarters I met are willing to ship their items to Singapore.
