Finally the sky cleared up a bit past midnite, so i decided to try image the star-fields around the Southern Cross for the first time. I also managed to see and image halo around the almost-full moon.
Being a Southern sky newbie (beginner) observer, i would say, wow! this region is really rich, beautiful and promising .

Thanks a lot guys . When I was drawing the lines on the image, I initially thought there's an unknown nova, but it turned out to be the Omega Centauri haha (still learning here).
Weixing, thanks! I didn't know that the small cluster under the Keyhole neb. is called the Southern Pleiades.
Arief, yup, I'm staying in Lampung now. At the place where I took the pic (a bit outside the town), the limiting magnitude is around 4. I think the sky will be much better if I drive for 1/2-1 hr away.
