How much time usually spend on observations? The whole night if the nightsky is clear and you are not sleepy.

How much money usually spend on observations? Minivan cost is about SG$40-50 per head. Dinner and supper will be about another SG$10 per head. Bring your own jacket, groundsheet, sleeping bag etc.

Hi people,

think i will give the trip a miss this time round. Would be heading for the Penang convention already, and it might be tiring to travel again. Will be organising an astronomy expedition in May. Stay tuned!

Hi,
Sorry for not repleying for so long... just return from ICT (In-Camp Training). Due to my ICT, I got a lots of work, project and appointment need to be clear, so I think I won't be able to make it.

Anyway, I'll still help to organise the trip, but will need someone to help to take charge of the mini-van during the trip. Also, we need to decide whether to book the mini-van or not asap, so I need to know who confirm is going with the mini-van. Please note that after you confirm and we decided to book the mini-van, you need to paid for the cost of the van even in the end you decided not to go unless you found someone to take your place. To confirm, bold your name on the min-van list using and [/b ] tag.

Confirm mini-van list:
1). Elton & 10" Teleport?
2). Jia Hao
3). Jia Hao's friend
4). Alvin & 80mm
5). Sherry & 66mm
6). Starfinder
7). river
8). Chris
9). Branzzz

For those who go with the mini-van or is Mersing "newbie", please take note the following:
1) Need to have a valid passport or visa for more than six (6) months from the date of entry into Malaysia.

2) Make sure your telescope can be portable, because sometime we'll be asked to unload the telescope from the mini-van and carry it through the normal customs.

3) Try to bring along a long sleeve jacket and wear a long jeans/long pants. The nights can be quite cold and the long sleeve and long jeans/long pants will give a bit of protection from the cold and mosquito at night.

Please ask if you got any questions.

Hope the weather will be good.

Have a nice day.
