after trying the jupiter image in this forum with my little compact digital camera.. my hand starts to feel itchy after all the comments given to me, to try out planetary imaging with webcamera.Decide to look for really good deals at cash converter too see Aiptek HyperVcamerawith color Cmos sensor chip for $8/- try out the camera on terestrial object seems ok.Then I do the little DIY project on the camera housing since the original housing is so bulky and quite heavy just 3 item I used to make the modified housing: black sponge,black film canister from kodak & and black little container...Try out the camera on jupiter but so sadly..... the image turn jupiter into a little potato lah.....aiya... can someone in this forum try too figure out what when wrong with my webcamera since the camera work ok on terestrial but why not this little potato...... :?: :?: :?:
Maybe there's nothing wrong with your webcam? Perhaps Jupiter really became a little potato? That's the fun in astronomy - anything can happen! I will confirm your findings tonight if the sky is clear..
