Hi,
Just in case Chee Chien can't make it, i can bring the c8 along instead of the megrez 80 if Soon Yen or someone else can help with the transportation. In terms of space required, the c8 bag sits on my lap while the tripod bag (950mm length by 250mm width by 150mm depth) will need to go into the boot.

Hey leslie, dont' worry, I'm sure anyone would welcome a star party, it ain't very easy to see so many scopes together and so many deep-sky objects in Singapore (for an average Singaporean) so I'm sure your school director would like the idea of this star party.. Just keep up abit of pestering, all office people need that

If I am free I would go there too, but for now I only have a 12x50 binoculars.. But I can help the people there to tending their scopes if they need the restroom, cos I have a bit of observation experience! Hehe~

It's alright to me. After picked Samuel Ng should still have enough space for you to put your scope. Unless he changed to a more bigger scope.

Hi Leslie

To expedite getting the school approval, maybe you should show Mrs Lay some photos of the objects we will be seeing that night through the telescopes, eg, photos of the 1st quarter moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Orion Nebula, Beehive Cluster etc.

You can also show her your itnerary and this Singastro posts so that she knows you have been actively and diligently planning for this event. Show her how you are publicising for this event, eg, through posters, leaflets, banner(?), notice boards, annoucements etc.

Also, you can consider inviting her to grace this special occasion and to view these objects through the scopes.

regards
