May be you can put up for bidding with a minimum start bid and sell it to the highest bidder instead of the queue.

Oh... I was just kidding, there is no queue though there are many enquiries to reserve and buy it.

If I do sell it in future, it would not be to the highest bidder. I would rather sell it to a responsible and passionate amateur astronomer.

Thanks for all the various responses and advice - will look into some of the suggestions although my preference is for a well built truss dob. I am also getting the impression that most singastronians have above 12 inch truss dobs which are too bulky and heavy for me, and they'd probably wont part with theirs anyways.

Probably have to look outside Singapore, and Arief, will pm you separately, if i still cant find a truss dob over the next one month and if i can find a mirror. Thanks again. Joyce

Arief, i assume that what you are going to build is similar to the CF 10 inch newtonian that you have. But what about the other equipment like the secondary mirror, prostar spider/vane, CF tubes, focuser etc... Would it be difficult to get those items?

Hi,
If you want to have a good and well-built truss dob, I suggest you don't DIY... unless you don't mind that there is always a possibility of failure attempt.

Just my S$0.02.

Happy shopping and good luck.

Have a nice day.
