Hi, can you tell us, for the above image, how many images per second you captured with R, G and B filters?
At which shutter speed?

Thanks

Hi JY,
The camera was set at 1/30s shutter speed, 35s per channel. The final image will appear smeared if exposures goes beyond 45s per channel. That leaves not much room to acquire luminance data.

I am considering moving from my ToucamPro to a camera like yours but am concerned about the time to acquire the 3 channels.

Presently, I am recording color AVI of 200 seconds at 20 images per second (1/25 s shutter speed).
I find that the 4000 frames obtained give the best result after stacking...

Do you know much about the color version of your camera? Is it a real improvement from TouCam or is it roughly the same?

Thanks

Sorry I have no experience with the colour version camera, but I am quite sure it will still out perform the TouCam. With the Firewire system, there is no lossy data compression and no dropped frames. But seriously, for best results I would still recommend the mono camera.

Hi all, just pieced together a mosaic of Jupiter from 23 June. It showed the planet's rotation that span about 2 and half hours.
