East Coast Stargazing this Saturday?

Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

Zephyrus if u can make it down to serangoon mrt station, I can give u a lift. for that matter anyone who's staying in the central part of singapore, just give a shout.

wow! seems like an even healthier response now....hmmm....i can start to feel the clouds thinning already. hopefully it will be good on saturday! stay tuned! try to check this thread for the confirmation on saturday morning. otherwise u can contact me if you want to go and would like to enquire on the status of the session. If it is on, we should be there around 9ish, to give leeway to those having dinner prior.

Wow, that will be a great star observation night, a lot of people is coming! I may even come with a friend, but he's not sure he can come yet. By the way thanks again Clifford for the lift!!!

Let's hope the weather will be fantastic!!

All right not that I know a lot about weather but outlook doesn't seem encouraging. There's a huge tropical storm off Philippines headed west bound that seems to be affecting the weather all the way here. Huge swathes of cloud appearing rolling westerly towards us... Cross your fingers!

weather seems ok. Let's activate the session. Will be there 9pm onwards. The site is between carpark c4 and d1. On mobile platform now... Can someone cut and paste the link from previous sessions that furnished more info. Thanks. In anycase just call me if u are still lost. Unless for heavy rain at time of meeting, we should be there. Useful Information:
This site is located between CarPark C4 and CarPark D1 of East Coast Park. Also in between these two carpark locations is an overhead bridge connecting to the opposite inland side of the expressway where Victoria Junior College and Katong Convent School is nearby. There is also a bustop opposite each of the carparks with Bus Service 401. This bus service heading towards the west direction arrives with the following times on Saturday:
1742, 1808, 1835, 1857, 1919, 1939, 1959, 2017, 2037, 2057, 2114, 2134, 2154, 2214hrs (times are approximate). Basically the last bus leaves at 2214hrs. Those coming by car can park at either C4 or D1 and just head towards the shoreline, you will be able to see the site. Additionally, the inland direction from the perspective of the site will meet a big canal. Those coming by public transport can also take buses (for example: that arrives at VJC. Also do note that there are two restrooms nearby and several pavillions to seek shelter just in case of sudden bad weather.

PLEASE NOTE THE ABOVE EVENT IS STRICTLY WEATHER DEPENDENT CAN BE CANCELLED LAST MINUTE IF IT RAINS OR SHOWS SIGN OF ABSOLUTE NO CLEARING.

Please call and confirm the event prior to coming.

Will be bringing the 5-inch refractor and mount for planetary imaging and viewing.
