Hi Mariner, You have real keen eyes. I did not see those black spots till you pointed it out. may be becoause I still have not come around to using Flats.

Hello Kochu, your gallaxies are beautifully detailed & very nice to look at, especially the M101 i like best, thanks for sharing (they made me start thinking of ways to convince my ex-young lady (stand for wife in amateur radio jargon) that i need to up-grade my scope again...), btw: i find M101 an extremely difficult object to shoot here, as most of the time can get only the core due to low surface brightness of the spiral arms. Probably 120 mm refractor or =/> C8 is the only choice...
